I have tried training the thing ... it appears to accept the training ... i.e. it moves through the buttons on the iPhone App as I press them on my Sky remote.

But once trained the Dijit App has no joy getting the Sky Box to do anything.

Has anyone got this config working ... any tips?

downgrade the firmware to 0.3.11 it will then drive the Sky Plus - see my thread:

The BSkyB setting works just fine.

BskyB doesnt work for me nor training. Not much use in the UK given the number of Sky+HD users. Looks like I will be returning this tomorrow.

Hi,

Read the thread - Downgrade the firmware in the Beacon then select BSkyB or Sky+ - all will work except Colour buttons, which can be trained (providing you are patient and prepared to retry a few times) - not perfect and a poor show by Griffin but it CAN BE MADE TO WORK.

I didn't downgrade, I upgraded to the latest version. It works fine with the BSkyB setting.

Hi,

I can confirm, upgrade to the latest firmware 0.4.15 and BSkyB now works OK :-)

We just need all the other stuff now! (Colour buttons, TV Guide etc...)

Hi Mark,

Search for Griffin Utility - free download, it will find and update the Beacon.

Tip - quit the Dijit software before running the update, Mine kept failing half way through the update until I figured it out!

I have a Naim preamp that isn't listed. Do you know the best way to define and train for all the buttons.

Hi Mark,

No easy way I know of - I programmed mine up by hand. Worked out what buttons I needed from the original remote and just built up a layout for myself, hours of tweaking and re-arranging later....

I am having trouble manually setting up the colour buttons. They learn but don't work after learning.

I've upgraded to the latest version and tried the learning function about 10 times and it never works. So don't waste your time. Great product and good idea (TV and amp work fine), but poor software implementation for a very common platform (Sky+HD).

Someone has suggested downgrading and then trying the profile for SkyPlus but there is no SkyPlus profile or a BSkyB profile...Just a Sky profile.. also I have tried creating a new remote and learning from the orginal Sky remote but that does not work either !!!! Has anyone managed to find a fix for this ???

Need better software. Logitech Harmony is not perfect but at least is stable and works most of the time.

This works. Download 'Dijit Utility' App on your iPad, phone etc. Go into the app and tab the Beacon button and update software l upgraded to 0.5 something and sky+HD box works fine, need to use the BSkyB remote option.

This is driving me crazy. I only have the option to choose 'Sky' no option for BSKyB to Sky+
How are others seeing this. I can only presume that when the app was updated they knocked these options off. It just won't work!!!!!

Ok I have managed to go back to firmware 3.11 and learnt the sky functions. I understand the newer updates were meant to have sorted this out so what is exactly going on?
