Unfortunately, the original Xoom does not have a built-in IR blaster. That hardware is a new feature on the Xoom 2 (also known as the XYBoard by Verizon in the US). Dijit is pre-loaded on the Xoom 2 tablets and designed to work directly with the built-in hardware.
For everyone else, we've also partnered with Griffin as the software side of the Beacon device, a Bluetooth to IR bridge. There should be a "Get the Beacon" link on the right side of this page where you can get more information on that. Once you've paired the Beacon with your tablet, Dijit will use it to send remote control commands to all of your devices.
The Beacon is also a learning remote, so you can use any remote control to teach it new commands that aren't yet in our database.
I hope this helps, and I'm sure this forum can give you a hand if you have any more questions.
