I can't find my cable/satellite provider.
First, check that your postal code has been correctly entered. If it hasn't, you can correct it on the Guide Setup screen. If it has been correctly entered, please email Dijit support with your zip code and provider. We have made every effort to support all providers in the US and Canada. Providers outside the US and Canada are not currently supported.
I'm trying to add a device but my TV/Blu-ray/Receiver/etc. brand is missing.
If you scroll to the bottom of the list, you will see a button for "I don't see my brand here." Tap that button, add your device, and you can then add controls through the Edit function and Learning.
Some of the buttons for my device are greyed out.
These buttons can be programmed using the Learn function.
My Roku box is already showing and I haven't added it.
If your mobile device is using Wi-Fi, Dijit automatically detects the presence of a Roku box and you don't have to add it manually. All controls will be available. If you don't want to have Dijit find your Roku, you can go to Settings in Dijit and turn off Find Devices Automatically.
I added the wrong device and would like to remove it.
Tap the "+" button in the upper right of the Devices screen. Choose "Edit Devices." Tap on the "x" in the upper left hand corner of the device you wish to remove.
I have too many controls for one screen.
You can add screens for more controls, or move controls to an additional screen. In the Edit Layout screen, you can move controls to additional screens.
What is the maximum number of devices I can add?
There is no maximum. However, if you have more than five devices, additional devices will appear on the next screen. Dijit uses standard iPhone/iPad page dot notation to show that there is more than one page.
I added my TV/Blu-ray/Receiver/etc. based on one of the Remote codes, but not all the buttons work.
Some devices from the same manufacturer use codes that are similar. As a result, the Power button may work for a code but the rest of the buttons don't. A different code will probably work. When you test out the code, check that all the buttons you would like to use work properly. To change the code, tap "Edit," then tap "Advanced Options." Choose "Change Remote" and you will be returned to the remote selection page.
Not everything is turning on/off properly when I use an Activity.
You can customize your activities in Advanced Settings on the Activity Summary screen. Also, check that your Beacon is properly aligned by checking the icon on the bottom.
I want my TV Activity to always tune my TV to my favorite channel when it starts up.
In Activity setup, turn on Advanced Settings from the summary screen, and pick the channel numbers from the Add Action screen. You will have to add each channel number individually. Don't forget to add an 'Enter' command if your TV or set-top box requires it to initiate the channel change. You can also set other start up actions such as muting.
I need two Activities for the same function. I watch movies on DVD and with a Roku box.
You can create a new activity with the Custom Activity Creator on the Add Activity screen. It would be best to name the activities so that you know which one you want, i.e., "Watch DVD" and "Watch Roku" rather than "Watch Movie."
When I swipe the pad for my device, nothing happens.
The swipe must begin on the side of the pad you are swiping from. It will not work if you start your swipe from outside the pad area, such as the background area around the pad.
What are the benefits of logging in to Facebook or Dijit while using the app?
A Facebook or Dijit account allows you to save your profile. If your mobile device has a problem, you can retrieve your profile and all your information will be restored. You can also share Dijit settings with another device. Also, logging in allows you to easily track the viewing preferences of other Dijit users.
I prefer to use Facebook or Twitter for posting my comments and preferences.
Not a problem. These work identically to using the Dijit account.
I want to share my settings with someone else's device, or between my iPhone and iPad.
On the first device, log in to your Dijit or Facebook account in the Dijit app with your devices and activities set up, and your profile will be saved. You will then need to log in to the same account from the Dijit app running on the second device. When you log in, you will be offered the opportunity to "Restore Online Configuration". Choose this option to load the same configuration as your other device. If you want to keep them in sync, you will have to repeat this operation after you make changes.
The program guide is loading very slowly.
Program guide data is delivered to your phone from Dijit servers. If it is loading slowly, please check to make sure wi-fi is turned on in the Settings of your mobile device. This should result in proper delivery of the program guide.
Can I use the Dijit app without Beacon?
If you don't own Beacon, you can still browse Dijit's TV Program Guide and Netflix Guide, and you can use Dijit's social media connectivity to "like" and comment on shows. Without Beacon, though, you will not be able to control most of your AV devices.
Here's why: Beacon translates Bluetooth signals from the Dijit app and your mobile device to the infrared commands your components need. Without Beacon, most of Dijit's control functions will not work. (NOTE: Devices controllable by IP - such as Roku - will work, but other devices will not.)
